“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.”- Desmond Tutu
It is hard to find hope in the darkest of times. When you are faced with life’s uncertainties, hope may seem like the farthest thing from your mind. One thing I have learned is that no matter where I am in life, or what I am going through, there is always hope for a brighter tomorrow.
As I am now faced with the daunting reality of cancer, I am confronted with the fragility of life. Cancer doesn’t care what we’ve been through or who we are. Cancer doesn’t care what our income level is, our age or our educational background. Cancer comes to steal our health and rob us of joy. But, thankfully we have the opportunity to decide how we are going to interact with this monster. We can let it win or we can fight it every step of the way. And I intend to fight. With God’s help I feel confident that I can win this battle.
I hope that what ever it is that you are facing today, you too will also find hope. Always remember that you are braver than you think, stronger than you seem and loved more than you know. Life is worth fighting for.
